PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bending apparatus which can prevent defective bending by outputting an alarm signal in order to inform that an actual workpiece positioning posture state is different from a prescribed workpiece positioning posture state to an operator. SOLUTION: The bending apparatus comprises a bending order and die determining means 20C for determining a bending order and a die based on the information about a product, a workpiece positioning posture state image forming means 20D for forming a workpiece positioning posture state imageαfor every bending order based on the determined bending order and die, an image detection treatment means 20E for detecting and treating a posture state in actual workpiece positioning as an image, a comparison means 20F for comparing the detected and treated workpiece positioning posture state with the formed workpiece positioning posture state imageα, and an alarm generating means 20G for generating the alarm AL when both of the workpiece positioning posture states do not coincide in the comparison.
