A method and a system for measuring the location of a mobile terminal by using a PSMM(Pilot Strength Measurement Message) are provided to contribute to activate a location-based service, thereby obtaining various effects such as an increase in a profit by providing a location measurement service with high accuracy. A PED(Positioning Determination Entity)(140) collects PSMM information from a mobile terminal(110), and measures location of the mobile terminal(110) by using the collected PSMM information. In this case, the PDE uses the PSMM information and measures location of the mobile terminal(110) by using the sum of received signal strength of multi-path components.
