<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a universal interface connecting sheet processing machines. <P>SOLUTION: The universal interface includes a frame 62 and a universal interface module 64 providing a work piece feeding path 66 repositionable relative to the frame 62 therethrough, from one side to the other of the module, for transporting the work piece output of a first processing machine to the work piece input of a second processing machine. Further, the universal interface module includes a work piece receiving and work piece discharging sheet path ends 70 and 72 opening at opposite sides of work piece feeding path 66. At least one of the work piece receiving path end and the work piece discharging path end are independently positionable relative to the other of the work piece receiving and work piece discharging sheet path ends over a horizontal range where the first machine is spaced apart from the second processing machine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
