A method for diagnosing an error of an accelerator pedal sensor of a vehicle is provided to examine the error of the accelerator pedal sensor by using sensor error diagnosing algorithm based on the accelerator pedal sensors interlocked to movements of accelerator pedal. A method for diagnosing an error of an accelerator pedal sensor of a vehicle includes the steps of applying a starting power source to the vehicle and checking trouble diagnose requirements for accelerator pedal sensors, filtering an output voltage of each accelerator pedal sensor and activating an error diagnose mode of the accelerator pedal sensor based on a filtered output voltage(k)(S104), determining accelerating satisfying requirements for the traveling of the vehicle based on the output voltages of accelerator pedal sensors and determining a sensor operation trouble by a sensor logic value between accelerator pedal sensors(S116), and counting an error caused by the sensor operation errors through every steps and determining that the accelerator pedal sensor has the error if an accumulated error count is above a predetermined maximum(S112).
