A method and a device for managing digital contents are provided to prevent the digital contents from continuously leaking out owing to the same encryption key by automatically receiving a report for a leaked or cracked encryption key, and promptly changing the corresponding encryption key. An encryptor(420) encrypts the digital contents to enable the digital contents to be decrypted by a domain key shared among domain members. A module generator(430) generates a module for determining whether the encrypted digital contents are decrypted by other devices not included in the domain members and informing a domain of a determination result. A linker(470) links the encrypted digital contents with the module to automatically operate the module if the encrypted digital contents are decrypted.
