WRITING CONDITION OPTIMIZING METHOD AND APPARATUS, AND INFORMATION RECORDING MEDIUM

A method and an apparatus for optimizing a recording condition, and an optical recording medium are provided to efficiently optimize the recording condition of an optical recording medium as a high-density information storage medium in which a zero-crossing detection method can not be used. Data is recorded on an optical recording medium by using a test repeat recording pattern(312). A correct pattern binary signal obtained by the test repeat recording pattern is compared with an erroneous pattern binary signal detected by reproduction of the data recorded on the optical recording medium(314). Based on a result of the comparison, an optimum recording condition of the optical recording medium is determined. If detection results of the erroneous pattern binary signal and the correct pattern binary signal are equal to each other, a recording condition of the recorded data is determined as the optimum recording condition.
