PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce syneresis from a crushed product of a gel-like composition and to reduce an accident during transportation of a cut flower without deteriorating water supply performances essential to the gel-like composition for the cut flower in relation to the gel-like composition related to the method for transporting the cut flower. SOLUTION: The gel-like composition for transporting the cut flower is prepared by a method for adding high acetyl group-content gellan gum in an amount of (1/20) to (1/5) pt.wt. based on the amount compounded to gellan gum after removing the acetyl group which is a principal agent of the gel-like composition and then carrying out a crushing treatment. Thereby, the accident during the transporting of the cut flower can be reduced without deteriorating the water supply performances by suppressing excessive syneresis. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
