A fuel cell system in which a poisoned electrode catalyst can be recovered while meeting the demand for the output power. When a controller detects that an electrode catalyst is poisoned, it derives a target operation point adequate for recovering the function of the poisoned electrode catalyst and realizes a shift of the operation point at which the output power is kept constant. Specifically, the FC voltage is controlled using a DC/DC converter, and the amount of oxidizing gas fed from an oxidizing gas supply source is adjusted, thereby controlling the FC current. |
