PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a failure in a part of a system from leading to the restart (interruption) of the entire system, thereby reducing the down time of the entire system. SOLUTION: A server process management system stores the relationship among processes that are not allowed to be started on the same server, servers, process groups, and server groups as exclusive condition information. In the event that either of the plurality of servers or the plurality of processes cannot be restarted because of a failure, based on the exclusive condition information in an exclusive condition information storage means the server where either the process started in the failed server or the failed process can be started for rescue is specified from the other servers kept operating.
