PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a X-ray tube device capable of grasping that a cooling medium is insufficient in a tube vessel by detecting that a pressure in the tube vessel has been released to the outside. SOLUTION: An release detecting means 1 detects that the pressure in the tube vessel has been released to the outside by a pressure valve 20 which operates when a pressure in the tube vessel abnormally increases. In the release detecting means 21, a cap 26 having conductivity is mounted on the pressure valve 20, and the mounted cap 26 is electrically connected to a pair of electrodes 29, 30. When the X-ray tube device is under a normal condition, a current flows between the pair of the electrodes 29, 30 through the cap 26. If the pressure valve 20 operates when the pressure in the tube vessel abnormally increases, the cap 26 falls off from the pressure valve 20 by the pressure released by the pressure valve 20 to shut down the current flowing between the pair of the electrodes 29, 30.
