A filter device for air cleaner which can effectively remove ozone and odor generated when using the UV lamp by disposing an activated carbon filter in rear of a UV lamp, an air cleaner comprising the filter device, and a filtering method of the air cleaner are provided. An air cleaner comprises: a case on which an inlet and an outlet are formed; a filter device comprising a UV(ultraviolet) lamp(400) and an activated carbon filter(500) disposed in rear of the UV lamp to filter air flown in through the inlet; and a fan(600) for sucking air into the inlet and exhausting purified air through the outlet, wherein the filter device has an additional activated carbon filter(300) installed in front of the UV lamp, a HEPA(High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter(200) installed in front of the additional activated carbon filter, and a pre-treatment filter(100) installed in front of the HEPA filter.
