PURPOSE:To control a discharge lamp burning device using a self-excited and separately-excited half bridge inverter. CONSTITUTION:A presettable counter circuit 2 and a toggle flip-flop circuit 3 are provided. The counter circuit 2 counts 'H' zone set data and 'L' zone set data to be alternately set. The flip-flop circuit 3 forms an output pulse signal which is pulse-width-modulated by a ripple carry signal of the counter circuit 2 as a trigger clock. An ON sense signal for sensing an ON state of a self-excited switching element is applied to a pulse generator. A ripple carry signal regulation circuit 11 for regulating an input time point of the carry signal to the flip-flop circuit 3 in response to the sense signal is provided. |
