In a water supply system a relief valve 3 is so fitted in parallel with a pump 4 or stop valve in a supply pipe line 6 and connected with an air tank 7 that the pressure in the pipe line acts on one side of the valve member of the relief valve and the pressure in the tank acts on the other side of the valve member which is open or closed according to pressure differential control means associated with the valve member.</p> |
