The invention relates to the use of TGF-ß3, or agents having TGF-ß3 activity, to promote epithelial regeneration. Methods of manufacturing medicaments, and methods of promoting epithelial regeneration are both provided. In particular, the medicaments and methods of treatment of the invention are applicable to the promotion of epithelial regeneration in healthy patients, and/or in acute wounds.
