PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-sensitive reversible recording medium wherein image display of cholesteric selective reflection color is compatible with the whiteness of an under layer, to provide a method of reversible recording using the heat-sensitive reversible recording medium and to provide a reversibly recording medium. SOLUTION: The reversible recording medium is characterized in that a reversible cholesteric reflecting layer 3 capable of reversibly showing a selective reflection phenomenon caused by helical molecular sequence of a cholesteric liquid crystal phase is provided on a substrate 1 and a reversibly light absorbing layer 2 is provided between the substrate 1 and the reversible cholesteric reflecting layer 3.
