New polypeptide - osteoprotegyrin-binding protein involved in osteoclast aging is described. Protein in identified on the basis of its affinity to osteoprotegerin. Sequences of nucleic acids coding polypeptide or its fragment, analog or derivetive are described as well, vectors and cell-hosts for polypeptide obtaining, methods to obtain osteoprotegyrin-bindingprotein and stydy of binding. The invention relates as well to compositions, methods for treatment of bone diseases, and receptors of osteoprotegyrin-binding protein.
