A coding algorithm function of a signal to noise ratio (S/N) of a recording system (1) is linked with each subset to give to the subset a transmission capacity function of the algorithm and number of frequencies. Data to be recorded is distributed in the subsets based on the capacity. The data is coded based on the algorithm linked to the subset by amplitude and phase modulation of the frequencies.
