PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat device with excellent operability capable of switching a movement direction of a seat back to an opposite direction to the latest movement direction when a user performs predetermined action. SOLUTION: In the seat device capable of using a back surface of the seat back 3 as a table, the position of the seat back 3 can be moved between a sitting position and a table position by an operation switch. The movement direction of the seat back 3 is switched to an opposite direction to the latest movement direction every time when the user operates the operation switch. As a method for determining the movement direction of the seat back 3 when the operation switch is pushed, determining the direction to the opposite direction to the movement direction based on the latest movement direction of the seat back 3 can achieve excellent operability.
