<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform recording to and/or play back a multilayer optical disk in which recording and reproducing layers for recording and/or reproducing data are laminated on an optical disk by an optical disk drive device for a single layer to which an inexpensive single layer optical disk is applied. <P>SOLUTION: The optical disk drive device is provided with a means for correcting the spherical aberration of light radiated on the recording and reproducing layer so as to record and/or reproduce the data to/from each recording and reproducing layer of the multilayer optical disk. The device is further provided with a selection means for selectively recording the data to a specified recording and reproducing layer provided on the multilayer optical disk, and records the data to the specified recording and reproducing layer selected in the selection means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
