<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction pair capable of suppressing judder with excellent stability and having excellent molding property of a friction material. <P>SOLUTION: This friction pair 1 has friction materials 2, 3 and a mate material 4 to generate braking force by friction force generated among the friction materials 2, 3 and the mate material 4, and the friction materials 2, 3 contain a fiber basic material, friction adjusting agent, binder, and copper oxide. Average particle diameter of the copper oxide is 1.5μm or less, and amount of addition is 0.5 to 7 volume% of the whole friction material.
