A multi-functional information apparatus for a vehicle is provided to sense a car state through a separate sub control unit except a main control unit to provide the sensed car state to a user and detect starting of the car to control the drive of a multi-functional apparatus of the car. A base body(100) has a monitor housing space whose front is opened and includes a main control unit that controls a multi-functional information apparatus(10), selectively receives a sky wave broadcasting signal and provides a plurality of user applications. A monitor(200) is installed in the monitor housing space so as to be moved forward by a driving unit and then stood vertically. The monitor outputs the broadcasting signal from the base body or contents reproduced by the user applications. An input panel(300) is coupled to a front surface of the based body so as to be opened and closed. The input panel displays a user application menu provided from the base body, processes an operation instruction by a user and includes a sub control unit for sensing starting of a car to control drive of the base body.
