The system has two coupling parts (1, 2) as well as a peripheral packing (3) placed in a groove, which is peripherally formed in one of the two coupling parts (1, 2) and has a slot bottom (4a) as well as slot flanks (4b, 4c). In an operational state, the packing occupies a position in the groove (4) in which, while deforming and generating a radial initial compressing force, it seals a gap (7) of the location opening (6). The packing rests against the coupling parts (1, 2) over a contact length (KL) extending in an axial direction (X-X). An axial movement of the peripheral packing placed inside the groove is mechanically prevented, such that when one coupling part is inserted inside the other coupling part and in the event of a back motion in the opposite direction, the seal is held in the position in which the packing seals the gap of the location opening.
