<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save labor and time by eliminating the time for an operator to perform reoperation for printing. <P>SOLUTION: Each print server transfers items that the operator specifies to a printing controller which controls supported print parameters (available form sizes, color gradations, etc.), and the printing controller checks whether print servers support the print items in order from the print server which is recognized first to determine a printer which is detected first to be used among printers meeting the conditions, and switches software for using the printer to perform a printing operation.
