PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-point contact type socket capable of achieving two-point contact without deforming or displacing an upper contact. SOLUTION: A first contact piece 5 is brought into contact with a first side of the terminal 1b of an electronic component 1. A second contract piece 6 is brought into contact with a second side opposite to the first side of the terminal 1b of the electronic component 1. The second contact piece 6 is formed of a linear conductor. The first contact piece 5 has a projecting portion 5c to be brought into contact with the second contact piece 6 when the second contact piece 6 is brought into contact with the terminal 1b of the electronic component 1.
