PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet head that suppresses the remaining oscillation of the pressure wave generated in an ink channel, and thereby stabilizes the delivery of ink to enable the high-speed printing. SOLUTION: The ink jet head comprises a base member 1 including a channel wall 2 and channel groove 3, a cover member 6 joined to the top face of the channel wall 2, a nozzle board 16 having nozzle holes 17, and a common ink chamber connected with the plurality of the channel grooves 3. A gap section is thinly formed to spread almost in a plain surface on the extension of the surface where the channel wall 2 and the cover member 6 are joined so that the pressure wave may be attenuated. The gap section consists of the first recess 20 formed in the cover member 6. The common ink chamber consists of the second recess 21 formed in the cover member 6.
