[PROBLEMS] A bearing device for a drive wheel. The bearing device is light in weight and compact, whose cost is reduced by improving workability in disassembly and assembly of the device, and where circumferential play in a coupling section is eliminated to increase reliability and stability in driving. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A bearing device for a drive wheel, in which a hub ring (24), a double-row rolling bearing (25), and a constant velocity universal joint (26) are unitized, an inner ring (5) is fixed at a staking section (28) of a small diameter step section (1b), and a shaft section (30) of an outer joint member (33) is fitted in the hub ring (24). On the inner periphery of the hub ring (24), toward the outboard side, there are formed serrations (13) on a small-diameter section formed by tapered generating lines. Also, serrations (21) engaging with the serrations (13) are formed on the outer periphery of the shaft section (30). An axial gap (d) is formed between the staking section (28) and a shoulder (34) with the hub ring (24) and the outer joint member (33) coupled together. An elastic ring (35) is interposed between the staking section (28) and the shoulder (34).
