PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately or surely convey a linear workpiece such as an iron wire to a polishing means for chamfering and further favorably chamfer the end of the linear workpiece interlocking with a polishing means. SOLUTION: This chamfering device includes: a feed roller 2; a rolling surface member 3 having a rolling surface 3a opposite to the peripheral surface thereof; a grinder 4 located on the end side of the feed roller 2 and sequentially coming into contact with the end ridge light of the iron wire rolling and moving between the grinder and the rolling surface 3a of the rolling surface member 3; a supply roller 5 provided with a plurality of supply grooves 5a, 5a on the peripheral surface, thereby supplying the iron wire in the supply grooves 5a, 5a between the peripheral surface of the feed roller 2 and the rolling surface 3a of the rolling surface member 3; guide members 6a, 6b for guiding and supplying the iron wire to the peripheral surface; and a regulating plate 7 for regulating the iron wire located on the peripheral surface, not falling in the supply grooves 5a, 5a of the supply roller 5 from advancing in the supply direction.
