A door tilting device for a refrigerator is provided to restrain or release door tilting simply and prevent unnecessary door tilting so as to minimize leakage of chilled air while opening and closing doors, thereby minimizing power consumption of the refrigerator. A door tilting device for a refrigerator includes a tilting hinge(35) connecting a basket frame(37) with a rear surface of a door(30), and a pair of locking holes(41,42) formed at corresponding sides of the basket frame and the tilting hinge when the door closes a storing space. Locking pins(43) are alternatively inserted into the locking holes for restraining or releasing door tilting. Fixing elements prevent non-intentional deviation of the locking pins out of the locking holes when the locking pins are inserted into the locking holes. The locking hole of the tilting hinge has through-hole portions(41a) formed by partially extending an outer periphery in the radial direction. The locking hole of the basket frame has a diameter relatively smaller than that of the first locking hole. |
