<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an edge portion of an irradiation window of a frame surrounded by an inner periphery of the irradiation window and an inner periphery of a hole for the irradiation window of a shielding member from being clearly displayed by allowing the edge portion to have a color such as white when seen from a main panel (a large image display panel). <P>SOLUTION: This light emitting device comprises: the frame 2 having a partitioning plate 2e with the irradiation window 2f formed to have a size equivalent to that of a region in which a small image display panel is irradiated with light; the shielding member 3 having the hole 3a for the irradiation window formed to surround the inner periphery of the irradiation window 2f, and having a size similar to that of the partitioning plate 2f; and a light guide plate 4 having optical members on both surfaces with respect to the thickness direction. The partitioning plate 2f of the frame 2, the shielding member 3 and the light guide plate 4 are stacked in this order with respect to the direction of thickness of the frame 2. The edge portion 2g of the irradiation window 2f surrounded by the inner periphery of the irradiation window 2f and the inner periphery of the hole 3a is formed into such a shape as to be apart by 100 μm or more from one of the optical members 3 of the light guide plate 4 located closer to the partitioning plate 2f. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
