PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle motor of high reliability which does not cause the defective contact of an FPC by using a simple method and structure. SOLUTION: An extension part 11 comprising a step 12 where the outside in a radial direction is high in height and a through hole 12a that penetrates from the inside of a base 10 to the outside is provided on the outside in the radial direction of an annular recess 10a of the base 10. An FPC80 arranged on the upper surface of a stator 20 is bonded to the lower surface of the base 10 through the through hole 12a. By forming a step 12 of an appropriate height, the bending height and bending angle of the FPC are suppressed to reduce a restoring force, and suppresses peeling that likely occurs, even if an external impact is applied.
