PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform control based on the temperature of ice making water based more on reality even if the temperature of the ice making water is indirectly detected. SOLUTION: A drum type ice making machine 10 supplies a required amount of ice making water to an ice making tank 14 from an external water source by opening a water supply valve KV interposed in a water supply pipe 20, and performs current control of a cutter heater and a case heater based on the temperature of ice making water indirectly detected by a temperature detecting means TH. The cutter heater and case heater heat only for a heating time set to a heating timer based on the temperature obtained by the temperature detecting means TH, and heat again only for a heating time after stopping only for a stop time set to the heating timer based on the temperature obtained by the temperature detecting means TH.
