PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an igniter plug for a thermal battery suppressing grappling of a bubble by improving flow property of an ignition agent when applying the ignition agent to a plug and having a shape from which the bubble easily comes out and capable of intensively generating spark discharge by regulating its generation position. SOLUTION: This igniter plug for a thermal battery includes a holding body 22 for fixing a pair of lead piece parts 20 connected with an ignitor in a prescribed arrangement, a pair of ignition terminal parts 21 projected in a direction approaching mutually from near places of the holding body 22 in each lead piece part 20, and in which a gap for generating spark discharge is formed at a prescribed interval between each tip end and the ignition agent 24 applied to the pair of ignition terminal parts 21 and the holding body 22 in a state of covering the pair of ignition terminal parts 21. The tip parts of the pair of ignition terminal parts 21 facing each other are formed in a sharp pointed shape with an inclined part 21a formed on the holding body 22 side.
