PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for capturing insects to be sanitary insect pests designed to concentrate the sanitary insect pests such as mosquitoes in sites for locally capturing the sanitary insect pests and capture the sanitary insect pests with high efficiency. SOLUTION: The apparatus for capturing the insects is equipped with a base, a support stood in the upper part of the base, a housing provided in a bulged form toward the front in the upper part of the support, sucking the sanitary insect pests and capturing the sanitary insect pests, a suction port provided in the base of the front of the housing and an attractor installed in the lower position of the suction port on the base for attracting the sanitary insect pests. Furthermore, a gas cylinder for storing an attracting gas released from the attractor is housed in the interior of the support. The attractor is a protrusion directed in the upper direction and the surface of the protrusion is black.
