PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an element for long-life organic electroluminescence for emitting red-color light of higher color purity and luminance with a lower drive voltage. SOLUTION: A material for organic electroluminescence comprises: a compound expressed by a general expression [1] wherein Ar<SP>1</SP>is substituted or non-substituted perilenyl group, R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are independent substituted or non-substituted monohydric aromatic hydrocarbon groups or substituted or non-substituted monohydric aromatic heterocyclic groups; and a compound expressed by a general expression [2] wherein X<SP>1</SP>to X<SP>14</SP>are independent hydrogen atoms.
