<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that once a device that records and reproduces a program which should be copyrighted recompresses and converts program data into data of low quality in order to secure remaining capacity and associate with a mobile view terminal, the converted program data cannot be restored to the original data of high quality. <P>SOLUTION: The recording and reproducing device is equipped with a means of generating the compressed data of low quality which cannot be restored to source information of the program data which should be copyrighted from the source information and a means of generating information of high quality of difference components which can be restored to the source information by being combined with the compressed data of low quality, and has a copyright protecting mechanism capable of restoring the compressed data of low quality to the original program data of high quality while protecting the copyright by recording and reproducing the compressed data of low quality as information which should be copyrighted and recording and reproducing the information of high quality of the difference components as information which need not be copyrighted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
