<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas additive feeder capable of homogeneously mixing, including a gaseous additive, even a liquid additive into exhaust gas. <P>SOLUTION: A guide 4 is provided projected toward the center side of an exhaust passage 1 from the downstream side opening edge of a mixing chamber 2 formed by recessing the inner wall surface of the exhaust passage 1 leading from the exhaust port of an engine to an exhaust after-treatment device. A guide surface 5 having a rake angle to an exhaust flow is formed on the upstream side surface of the guide 4, and smoothly continued to the inner surface of the mixing chamber 2, and also the end of an additive injection nozzle 3 is placed to the mixing chamber 2. Thereby, after a part of exhaust gas is guided to the mixing chamber 2 and previously mixed with the additive, a mixture is returned to the exhaust passage 1 and mixing performance of exhaust gas with the additive is improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
