MANUFACTURING METHOD OF HIGH PURITY ALKYLENE CARBONATE

A method for preparing a highly pure alkylene carbonate is provided to be able to obtain the alkylene carbonate with high purity from a lowly pure alkylene carbonate with high energy efficiency without causing any discoloration of a final product through a simple process. The method comprises the steps of: (a) cooling low-purity alkylene carbonate down to less than solidification temperature so as to educe 25-35 wt.% of the alkylene carbonate as crystal to form a slurry; (b) separating a crystal phase and a solution phase in the slurry using a screen; and (c) melting the crystal phase alkylene carbonate to obtain high-purity alkylene carbonate having the content of more than 99.99 wt.% and water content of less than 10 ppm.
