PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seedling transplanter which can reduce loads applied to a rotor 27 to improve durability, and has good working efficiency. SOLUTION: This seedling transplanter whose seedling-planting portion 4 is liftably disposed on the backside of a travel vehicle body 2 and in which a rotor 27 is disposed on the front side of the seedling-planting portion 4 and on the back side of the travel vehicle body 2 in a construction capable of being upward or downward moved in a direction longitudinally inclined to the seedling-planting portion 4 by means of slide mechanisms 29, 33. Thereby, the gravity of the rotor 27 is dispersed, and the rotor 27 can smoothly be upward or downward moved. Since the rotor 27 is upward or downward moved with slide mechanisms 29, 33, the longitudinal moving quantity of the rotor 27 is reduced as much as possible to minimize the longitudinal length of the machine body.
