PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin cosmetic product effective to maintain/recover the fresh skin state based on the finding of the action of an elastase activity inhibitor to suppress the decomposition and degradation of elastin participating in the maintenance of the skin elasticity. SOLUTION: The elastase activity inhibitor contains at least one kind of 1,6-heptadiene-3,5-dione derivative expressed by general formula (1) (R<SP>1</SP>is H or a sugar residue; and R<SP>2</SP>is a sugar residue) as effective ingredients.
