<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce burdens both on a service provider and on a user by simplifying confirmation procedure of credit information required at the time of admission while saving time for registration/management of fingerprint data, when using fingerprint collation for personal authentication in utilizing a service system. <P>SOLUTION: A personal authentication method for the service system utilizing a part of a security system of a multiple dwelling house where fingerprint data is collated in a management device 4, comprises steps of acquiring fingerprint data of the user at a terminal 7 additionally provided with a fingerprint reader 7a in admission and service utilization, connecting with the management device 4 from the terminal 7 through an Internet line to send out the fingerprint data, collating the fingerprint data with fingerprint data registered in a storage means, by a collating means, sending a collated result to the terminal 7, and authenticating whether the user is the resident himself or herself in the terminal 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
