DIGITAL MULTIMEDIA BROADCASTING(DMB) DATA RECEPTION APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR IMPROVING DMB DATA RECEPTION SPEED

A DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) data receiving apparatus for improving the receiving speed and a method thereof are provided to request the setting of a return channel when there is MSC(Main Service Channel) data with an error. In a DMB data broadcasting system, a DMB broadcasting station broadcasts MOT(Multimedia Object Transfer) header data and DMB data such as MSC data repeatedly through a DMB broadcasting channel(104). When the specific MSC data transmission request is received from a DMB receiving terminal through the TCP/IP network, the DMB broadcasting station transmits the requested MSC data to the DMB receiving terminal through a return channel. The DMB receiving terminal receives the MSC data from the DMB broadcasting station during any one of the repeated periods, and constructs MOT object data.
