An applicator capable of securely pushing out paints and the other coating materials by a small drive force without slidably moving a bottom plate by using a coating material bag, eliminating the troublesome disassembly and cleaning of the applicator by removing the bottom plate, and neatly squashing the coating material bag without being bent or broken. The applicator comprises a coating material push-out chamber (4) pushing out the coating material while squashing the coating material bag by acting, from the outside, the hydraulic pressure of a working fluid on the coating material bag (8) for filling the coating material having a coating material access port (8a) formed at the tip thereof. The applicator also comprises a reinforcement material (20) holding the rear end of the coating material bag (8) so that the coating material bag (8) is not squashed in such a longitudinal direction that connects its tip to its rear end by the hydraulic pressure of the working fluid.
