PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spherical puzzle facilitating shape design by using a 32-hedron or constituting a three-dimensional sphere by combining three types of pieces. SOLUTION: This spherical puzzle uses pentagonal pieces and two types of hexagonal pieces having different number of engagement pieces, which are curved to constitute a sphere; the 12 pentagonal pieces having projections on all the sides are formed; 10 hexagonal pieces each have one projection in one side and recesses in the other sides; and the rest 10 pieces have projections in two sides and recesses in the other sides. This spherical puzzle constitute the 32-hedron by fitting and combining the projections and the recesses of the respective pieces of the pentagons and the hexagons. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
