In an elevator control apparatus, the speed of a car in traveling at a constant speed and the acceleration/deceleration speeds of the car in traveling with accelerating/decelerating are changed in accordance with a loading weight of the car. The elevator control apparatus is provided with a restrictive condition setting portion. The restrictive condition setting portion imposes restrictions on at least one of the speed of the car and the acceleration/deceleration speeds of the car so as to prevent a component of an elevator from being overloaded.
