The invention relates to a pluggable and lockable line connector (1) for connecting at least one media line, particularly a fuel line, to a connector counterpart (6). The line connector (1) is comprised of a connector piece (2) having a plug-in section (8), which can be plugged in a media-tight manner together with a complementary plug-in section (10) of the connector counterpart (6), and comprises at least one, particularly at least two radially elastic spring limbs (12), which extend in the plugging direction and which, on their free ends, have detent projections (14) for securely interlocking a detent step (16) of the connector counterpart (6) in the plugged together position. In addition, a securing element (4) is provided that can be moved in an axial direction between an initial position (5), which releases the spring limbs (12) for a radial detent motion, and a securing position encircling the spring limbs (12) for preventing their detent motion. Said securing element (4) is fixed in the securing position by means of detent means (18) and is also fixed in the initial position by these detent means (18), which are designed in such a manner that a closing force (F1) to be exerted for moving the securing element (4) out of the initial position and into the securing position is smaller than an opening force (F2) to be exerted for effecting the opposite motion from the securing position toward the initial position. In addition or alternatively, the invention provides that the securing element (4), together with the detent means (18), and the spring limbs (12), together with their detent projections (14), while being adapted to the connector counterpart (6), are designed in such a manner that the securing element (4) can be used as a manual operating element for plugging the connection, whereby by subjecting the securing element (4) to the action of a plugging force (F) acting in a plugging direction, the plug-in sections (8, 10) can be firstly plugged together up to the latched position of the spring limbs (12), whereupon the securing element (4) can then be moved into the securing position.
