<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fingerprint collating apparatus which prevents dust from being accumulated on a light receiving part of an imaging means, and hardly causes adhesion of soil. <P>SOLUTION: This fingerprint collating apparatus includes a subject holding part 3 which can hold a subject 2 with a fingerprint 2A in a non-contact state with the surface of the fingerprint, a light source 5 which is provided below the subject holding part 3, and applies a light capable of being transmitted through the subject 2, the imaging means 6 which is provided above the subject holding part 3, takes an image of the light transmitted through the fingerprint 2A of the subject 2, and obtains a fingerprint image corresponding to the fingerprint, and a signal processing part 7 which obtains fingerprint information by processing a fingerprint image outputted from the imaging means 6, and collates the fingerprint information with the fingerprint information stored in advance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
