摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely detect fluorescence radiated from an inspected object containing a very small quantity of a fluorescent substance under environmental light. <P>SOLUTION: An inspected substance 1 is irradiated with pulse light from a light source 2. An optical sensor 3 receives fluorescence radiated from the inspected substance 1 and an extraction part 12 extracts an output in a period that the inspected substrate is not irradiated with pulse light from the output of the optical sensor 3. A pattern formation part 13 excludes noise components and leads an attenuation pattern of the fluorescence. An operation part 15 executes convolution operation between the attenuation pattern and a reference pattern. A processing part 16 averages a plurality of operation results to find out correlation.
