A steam generator of a drum-type washing machine is provided to prevent noise and abrasion caused by a collision between a water supply hose and the steam generator or a cabinet of the washing machine by installing a fixing rib or a main fixing rib formed with a water supply groove at the upper side of the steam generator and fitting the water supply hose with the fixing rib or the main fixing rib. A steam generator(50) of a drum-type washing machine comprises: a housing(80) forming the appearance by combining an upper housing(82) with a lower housing(81); a water supply hose connected with the housing to supply water into the housing; and a fixing rib(90) formed on the upper surface of the upper housing to fix the water supply hose. A fixing groove(91) is formed on the fixing rib to fit the water supply hose into the fixing groove.
