A network traffic control system and a method thereof are provided to induce all switches connected by the same VLAN(Virtual Local Area Network) to share information about bandwidths, port IDs for each switch connection, and intrinsic IDs of each switch, thereby calculating optimum paths through which each switch is connected to others. Plural switches(110,120,130,140) are connected with one another. Plural ports(111-114,121-124,131-134,141-144) are individually installed in the respective switches(110,120,130,140), and provide signal connection paths among the switches(110,120,130,140) and endpoint terminals(115,116,125,126,135,136,145,146) or signal connection paths among the switches(110,120,130,140) and other switches. Switching control modules(10,30,50,70) are individually installed in the respective switches(110,120,130,140), exchange/share switch state information retained in other switches whenever states of each switch are changed, and select the ports(111-114,121-124,131-134,141-144) to selectively transmit frames sent from the other switches or self management endpoint terminals, according to characteristics of the frames.
