PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet type rotation sensor capable of reducing a magnet quantity, reducing manufacturing cost, and reducing cost for a polarization power source. SOLUTION: A permanent magnet 8 and a soft magnetic body 18 constituting a rotator are fixed alternately in the state where the axial center of the rotator agrees with the axial center of the permanent magnet. An equal magnetic pole is formed in the circumferential direction on each permanent magnet, and an aperture is formed between each permanent magnet and each soft magnetic body. A magnetic flux detector 10 for detecting a change of the magnetic flux as a pulse is provided on a position facing to the magnetic pole of the permanent magnet, and a pulse generation device 14 for calculating a rotation angle of the rotator from the pulse detected by the magnetic flux detector is connected to the magnetic flux detector.
